What Are We Without Our Volunteers?

Blog VolunteerMain

Howdy!  If you have ever attended any kind of service or event at First Baptist Arlington, I would say there is a 100% chance that you were served in some way by a volunteer.  The person who greeted you at the door, sang to you from the stage, told you where to park, ran slides on the projectors, all those people are volunteers.  As far as churches go, we have a big staff, but it is nothing compared to the army of volunteers that bless us each week with their service.  Every Sunday School teacher, every safety volunteer, they all sacrifice their time and energy to help us accomplish what we do at FBCA.  By my estimation, there could be upwards of 200-300 individual volunteers who serve in a plethora of different capacities on our campus each Sunday.  That is incredible!

I guess what I am trying to say is that we couldn’t do it without our volunteers.  Every single person that sacrifices their time and energy to volunteer at FBCA is essential to our mission.  I know I speak on behalf of the entire staff when I say that we are incredibly lucky and thankful for our volunteers.  Because of our volunteers we can fill classrooms with children and share the Gospel, we can welcome guests warmly, we can even welcome other organizations into our facilities.  Coming up soon we have our annual Wake Up Weekend!  This event alone takes dozens of volunteers and they show up every year to help the youth staff pull off this huge event.

If you volunteer with us, thank you.  Thank you for your time, your energy, and your dedication.  During this busy season, it is easy to forget the important things, but I promise the staff here at FBCA will never forget your work and how much it means to the mission of our church.

In Him,

Tanner
