KINDERGARTEN
BASKETBALL

Registration Info

Registering your boy or girl to play in the Kindergarten Basketball League is simple - it's all online this year.  We will start on January 20 at 9am with a parent meeting followed by your Kindergartner getting an introduction to basketball and receiving their own new basketball. The fee for Kindergarten Basketball is $55 per child. January 20 at 9am is the last opportunity to register. It is very important to make this meeting if at all possible. If you are unable to make this meeting, you may call 817-276-6490 BEFORE SATURDAY, January 20 to make other arrangements. Fee for the league includes their jersey, a basketball and awards!   The enrollment passcode for Kindergarten Basketball is kinder2024.

Program Goals

The goals of the Kindergarten league are to teach the children about Jesus and develop fundamental basketball skills in a positive and Christian atmosphere. During the season the children will memorize age appropriate scripture and will be led in a devotion geared to the Kindergarten level.

Concessions

We will have concession foods and drinks as well as coffee options available for purchase in the Good Day Café.

Ball Size, Goal Size & Teams

Your Kindergartner is important to us. We want each child to be successful, so we will emphasize the basic skills of basketball while working together and developing team spirit. The children will play using a rookie size ball, which they will be able to keep. They will use 8 ½ foot goals. All boys and girls will play together on co-ed teams.

Saturday Play

There will not be weekly practices. All play will be Saturday mornings at 9am in camp style format with skills and drills, then move into scrimmages and finally games. The season will start January 20. Our last day of play will be Saturday, February 17.

Coaches

Our coaches are committed to helping your child improve in their skill level and come to a greater understanding of Christ and the Bible. If you have an interest in coaching or helping with a team, please call the Activities Office at 817-276-6490 or email us. Coaches must clear a background check, be trained in the Child Abuse Training per our volunteer requirements and be a FBCA Church Member.

End of Season Party

Our end of the season awards will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately after your child’s last game of the season, February 17. Each participant will receive a special word from their coach, their team picture, a treat and a drink.

Let us help you get connected.
