Worship

We believe that worship invites the presence of God, and we can’t wait to encounter Him as we worship together at the beginning and end of every gathering.

First Baptist Arlington

Teaching

Every week, we gather around the word of God and hear an encouraging message from a member of our teaching team who is passionate about teaching the Bible.

Response

At the end of our gatherings, we create space to respond to what we've heard by worshipping through song, praying for one another, taking believer’s communion, and bringing our tithes and offerings

Pause. Reflect. Begin

Ash Wednesday Service

March 5 | 6:00pm | Sanctuary

Take a meaningful pause from life's daily rush. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent - a season of reflection and renewal that people have observed for centuries. In this quiet, contemplative evening service, we'll take time to slow down, reflect, and experience an ancient tradition that speaks to both life's challenges and its hope. Through gentle music, readings, and the optional receiving of ashes, we'll create space to think about what matters most in our lives.

Join us on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:00 PM in our Sanctuary for this peaceful evening service. Whether this tradition is new to you or part of your yearly practice, you're welcome here. Come as you are. Childcare is provided for children through age 3.

Sanctuary

Wave palm branches, join the music, and experience the story that started it all. Palm Sunday brings to life the moment when people welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with hope and celebration - the beginning of a week that would change everything. This lively, joy-filled service helps us understand why Easter matters so much to so many people around the world.

Join us on April 13 for morning worship for this special family-friendly celebration. Children will participate in our traditional palm processional, and everyone is invited to be part of this meaningful morning. Whether you're familiar with church or just curious about Easter traditions, you'll find a warm welcome here. Come experience the energy and story of Palm Sunday with us!

Good Friday: Finding Hope in the Easter Story

Good Friday Service

April 18 | 6:30pm | Sanctuary

Sometimes the most meaningful moments come from remembering difficult times. On Good Friday, we take time to acknowledge an event that changed history - the day Jesus gave his life for others. While it might seem strange to call such a day "good," this evening helps us understand the depth of love and hope at the heart of the Easter story.

Join us on April 18 at 6:30pm in our Sanctuary for a gentle, meaningful service that welcomes everyone - including families with children. Together, we'll experience music, readings, and reflection that help us appreciate the full joy of Easter Sunday. Just come as you are. Preschool & Children's classes provided thru 6th grade.

Join us on Sunday, April 20th at 8:30am or 11:00am for this special celebration. From the moment you arrive, you'll be welcomed into the excitement of Easter morning. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the service?

Worship Services are around 70 minutes. We usually start by singing and then hear from Dr. Dennis R. Wiles, our Senior Pastor (Check out past sermons to get a sense of their teaching styles.) At the end of the service, we create space to respond to what we've heard by worshiping through song, praying for one another, and listening to the word of God through the message.

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you can wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Can my kids join me in the service?

At First Baptist Arlington, we value having children experience worship with their families. Children entering Pre-Kindergarten (4 years and up) attend worship at the start of their Pre-Kindergarten school year in August. For kids 3 years and younger (as of Sept 1), we have preschool classes available during both worship hours (8:30am & 11am). Visit our Preschool page for more information.

When should I arrive?

Our services begin at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Please leave enough time to find your parking space, head inside, grab a beverage, and then find a seat in our sanctuary. If you have a preschooler or child, add some time to drop them off in our Kids area.

Are there any other services the week of Easter?

Join us while we start Holy Week with Palm Sunday on April 13th, with services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. We will observe Good Friday on April 18th with a remembrance service at 6:30 pm in an opportunity to reflect and remember.

What can I expect when I arrive?

If you’re new to First Baptist Arlington, park in our designated guest parking in our main Wade Building parking lot – our parking team will direct you to convenient parking just for you. Next, you’ll walk into the atrium, where friendly greeters will be waiting to answer any questions and direct you to the Preschool/Children's area if needed. Then, grab a beverage and go to the sanctuary for the service. We can’t wait to have you!

Let us help you get connected.
