WATER - (1) Nurture and nourish for growth;
(3) Investing locally

Reaching the “nations” in Arlington.  That’s what the imagery of “water” represents.  Survival is contingent upon water. Moreover, it does more than merely allow something to survive but to thrive as well. This then is the depiction of of how we can invest in blessing the nations here at home by supporting our work abroad as well as reaching out to the “nations” in our own community.

Navigate through the tabs for a brief summary of how you can get involved here locally

International Friends

For more than 40 years we have been engaging the international community here in Arlington by teaching English.  On any given Wednesday we may have more than 35 different countries represented on our campus.  If you enjoy teaching English or working with Internationals then this is something for you.  Visit the International Friends page for more information.

By Your Side

Did you know that more than 90 countries are represented on UTA’s campus?  That means we can visit more than 90 different cultures without ever having to get on a plane or having a passport.  We can literally bless the nations by just walking across the street.  If you would like to be a host family or friend for an international student then you need to visit the By Your Side page for more details.

The Home Team

Perhaps the idea of going and serving overseas isn’t as likely for you but you are still passionate about missions.  The Home Team is a group of volunteers that help mobilize our efforts by providing much needed support here at home.  We have nurses that help us organize supplies for medical trips.  We have electricians and handymen that help us with construction trips.  A number of volunteers help prepare VBS material for any trips involved with children.  Many other teams exist to help us abroad.  If you’d like to help to then visit the Home Team page for more information.
