The Master’s Singers (age 55+)
“Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name”
The Master’s Singers Choir Purpose Statement
The Master’s Singers, a choir for adults 55 years and older, exists to glorify God by singing together in authentic worship through their voices and lives, to develop a caring community of fellowship and to have meaning and joy in these extra decades of life. Our purpose is also to discover, cultivate and empower leaders, and leave a legacy for the generations following by positively influencing others in the church and community along the Jesus Way.
The Master’s Singers meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Adult Choir Room. It is directed by Beth Goetz, and our TMS President for 2012-2013 is Mrs. Pat Stewart. We’ve got a wonderful year planned, and we would love to have you come join us.
Extra! Extra! Sing All About It!!
TMS Christmas Programs are here! We sang two programs this past Thursday. We had 74 singers at the Arbrook Retirement Center and then 38 singers at The Waterford in Pantego. Both programs were well received – the choir sang their best! Everyone loved our presentations! God richly blessed our efforts to share the true Christmas story with friends in our community.
Here are the details for Thursday, December 11 – meet at the adult choir room at 8:45 a.m. We will warm up – go over “spots” in the musical and then carpool to Brookdale Lake Arlington. Parking will be in the back of the facility – circle drive around the building. Please remember to wear light weight clothing – dress “Christmasy” and bring your black folder. Each person is responsible for their own music and black folder. After our 10:00 a.m. program – we will immediately pack up and drive to Fox Run Retirement Center. Please remain outside or in lobby area until the sound system is set up. We plan to sing at 12:00 or 12:15 in the Dining Hall.
Special thanks to Bob Bullock for being our sound person for our 6 Christmas programs this year! Many thanks to Charles Goetz for the design of our TMS Times – Christmas edition – 2014 and thanks to Nancy Brady for making the copies of our newspaper.
Wednesday, December 17 – we present our Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Don’t forget – we are collecting items for MIssion Arlington – bring canned food, toys or warm clothing to share. Boxes will be available at the doors of the Sanctuary to collect your items. Please invite friends to come to this worship service - “He Is Here!”
TMS is a choir for adults 55 + who love to sing and can meet on Thursday mornings. It is directed by Beth Goetz. Please invite friends to come and join us as we make plans to share the “good news”! Extra! Extra! Now is a great time to join TMS! – Contact Beth Goetz for more information.
