“Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name”
Psalm 30:4

The Master’s Singers Choir Purpose Statement
The Master’s Singers, a choir for adults 55 years and older, exists to glorify God by singing together in authentic worship through their voices and lives, to develop a caring community of fellowship and to have meaning and joy in these extra decades of life. Our purpose is also to discover, cultivate and empower leaders, and leave a legacy for the generations following by positively influencing others in the church and community along the Jesus Way.

The Master’s Singers meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Adult Choir Room.  It is directed by Beth Goetz, and our TMS President for 2012-2013 is Mrs. Pat Stewart.  We’ve got a wonderful year planned, and we would love to have you come join us.

TMS – THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON SINGING!

We had 18 from TMS that attended the simulcast of “The Barber of Seville” at the AT&T Stadium on Friday night, April 11.  It was a fun event and all enjoyed the opera.  Don’t know details about next year – but we will be better planned and hopefully, more will want to attend.

Thank you so much for singing so beautifully at the funeral for our sweet friend, Mary Engle, last Friday. The family was so pleased that so many could sing – it was a loving tribute to Mary and Frank.  You sang from your hearts and lifted up the name of the Lord.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDARS:

1. Sunday, May 4 – TMS Ensemble will sing “The Smallest Things” in the Heritage service.

2. Thursday, May 8 – New TMS Slate of Officers for 2014-2015 will be presented and voted on the next week. If you are interested in serving as an officer – please contact Linda Seager or Beth Goetz.

3. Tuesday, May 13 – TMS will present the “Old Country Church” Hymn Sing for the OWLS at First United Methodist Church – program at 12:00 noon. We will make plans for the choir to go eat lunch together following this program. Contact Linda Seager or Beth Goetz if you have suggestions for a lunch spot.

4. Thursday, May 15 TMS will present the “Old Country Church” Hymn Sing program for FFF in Fellowship Hall – program beginning at 11:30 a.m. with covered dish lunch following. Don’t forget to “dress up country” for this program! Please make lunch reservations in your Sunday School Departments and encourage your SS friends to come and join us.  More details to come.

5. Thursday, May 22 – TMS AMATEUR HOUR – End of choir year party for TMS – featuring “sharing our gifts” – a talent show of TMS members, a White Elephant “gift” exchange, lunch and a fun time of fellowship. You don’t want to miss this annual event – held in the Student building – more details to follow. Tickets are $10.00 per person and will be available to purchase beginning Thursday, May 1 at choir. If you are planning to share an act in the talent show – please contact Beth Goetz.

Your involvement and support in TMS is a blessing and a gift to me. It is a “gift” to belong toTMS!

Now is a great time to join TMS –  Contact Beth Goetz for more information.
