What year did you start working at First Baptist?
2006

Tell us how you came to know Christ:
Grew up at First Baptist, attended What It Means to Be a Christian when I was in 1st grade, was baptized in 1989, but came to a greater understanding about who God was in high school and have continued to grow in Christ since then. For me, knowing Christ is a continual process that deepens my love of Him and who He is as His glory is being restored in me little by little.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Co-workers and the families I get to interact with.

What’s your favorite Bible verse currently?

Romans 8:28

What do you feel like God is teaching you lately?
Be patient, keep trusting, God is working it out.

What are your hobbies?
I am working on getting into graduate school so most of my free time is spent studying… But when I have actual downtime, I love to sleep, read, go to movies and hang out with friends.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?

I wanted to be an architect. I don’t know what it is, but I love layouts of houses. I love to think of how houses could be improved and like to go into houses being built and walk around. I would love to buy an old house and renovate/repair the inside.

Tell us a bit about your family?
Sister, brother, dad, step-sister, step-brother, adopted sister, mom, stepdad, two nephews, one baby niece, two adopted adult nieces, brother-in-law, grandma, lots of aunts, uncles and cousins…most of them in Texas…there are a lot of us.

What’s your favorite meal and who would be attending?
It’s my favorite anytime it’s Mexican food and when I can enjoy it with my friends or family.

Tell us a little known fact about yourself:
I am a pretty good cook and I really enjoy it.

Why should someone get involved at First Baptist Church Arlington?

The people you will meet here are some of the best people ever. This church is a huge family, and it is pretty easy to find a place to plug in because there is so much to offer.
