Things You Will See

Our Spiritual Formation Ministry is sponsoring another "Christian History Tour" of Rome in 2024. You're invited to join us January 28-February 3, 2024 on a journey through time led by our Pastor, Dennis Wiles.

We'll visit the Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill, St. Paul Outside the Wall, Catacombs, Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica, and much more. You'll enjoy site-seeing, food and fun as you gain a new perspective on how the Christian faith emerged within the vast Roman Empire.

Rome is an ancient city with a limited subway system. This trip involves a LOT of walking (approximately 10 miles per day) - including lots of stairs (no elevators available) and uneven surfaces.

After registration, you will receive periodic "Rome Updates" with information about the trip.

The first 2 weeks, we will limit registration to FBCA church members ONLYwho have never been on this trip before. Then, any remaining spots will be open to anyone who wants to go.

The $995 DOES NOT include your airfare. You are on your own for getting there and back. This allows you to customize your itinerary and use points or miles if you have them. Note: You will be responsible for complying with any airline immunization requirements at the time of travel.

The $995 DOES include your room at the Aberdeen for 6 nights, breakfast each morning, ground transportation, and entrance fees.

If you have any questions, please contact Lori Allen at lori.allen@fbca.org or Curt Grice at curt.grice@fbca.org.

In the words of Rick Steves:

Our tours are physically active! It's an essential part of the experience. On our tour (among other things) you'll need to happily...

  • Carry/roll your luggage over uneven pavement (and stairs).
  • Be on your feet, walking and standing, for up to four hours, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. (Your trip with FBCA will be 8 or more hours per day.)
  • Sleep with street noise and limited temperature control.
  • After orientation and transportation lessons, be able to navigate around town on your own.

Let us help you get connected.
