Deacon Nominating Committee

Staff Coordinator:

Principal Function:
Recommend qualified men and women to serve as Deacons in our church

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Reviewing the list of inactive Deacons in order to recommend those that will rotate back on the Deacon Council for a three-year term.
  2. Soliciting names for possible new Deacons from the congregation.
  3. Recommending to the congregation those persons who are qualified for ordination and election to the Deacon Council.

Membership:
The Deacon Nominating Committee shall consist of six members elected by the church, each serving a two-year term

Additional Information:
This committee’s members are elected by a secret ballot vote of the congregation. A slate of six names of potential candidates for the committee will be submitted to the church by the Committee on Committees. Three persons from that slate will be elected to serve.

Meetings take place in the fall.
