Stories of Influence

Mr. Don had been working with Josue for several months.  Josue had been in trouble for anger issues and bullying other students.  Don had worked diligently to instill in Josue a sense of respect for himself and for others around him, even teaching him to guard his reputation and make it strong.  Josue’s single mother had to move to another apartment complex and Josue had to change schools, again.  One evening Don got a call from Josue’s mother. She said, “I picked up Josue from his new school today and he was in trouble yet again. As we cried and hugged in the parking lot, I asked Josue, “What am I going to do with you?”   Josue replied through his tears, “PLEASE – CALL MR.DON, HE WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH ME!”  Mr. Don has begun mentoring Josue in his new school!!  Influencing lives one student at a time.  (Mr. Don is Don Trammel).
