College Students: See You Soon, Not Goodbye
Posted: August 14th, 2014
It has been said that distance makes the heart grow fonder. This saying is tested each year as college students leave home to make new, temporary homes on campuses across the country. They might move further away geographically, but they move closer emotionally. They are missed greatly, but not forgotten completely.
When you are missed, it means someone is thinking of you even though they are not around you. While we will miss them, we want them to know how much they will be missed. So, the college ministry at First Baptist Arlington is launching a new team dedicated to making sure students are not only missed, but encouraged. Once a month, this team will gather together to pray for these students, write letters to these students, and think of creative ways to show tangible acts of love to these students. If you are interested in joining this new team, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
