Growing the Relationships Inside Families
Throughout the year we highlight the relationships within families through fun and special memory making opportunities. Some of these opportunities include our parent/child events. Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, Mother/Son & Daddy/Daughter events are special times for our elementary children, kindergarten – sixth grade, and their parents.
We also have one or two “Family Night” events during the year, such as an “Incredible” Drive-In-Movie on our campus, or catching a Texas Ranger baseball game.
Once a year we also have a “Family Getaway”. This is a great time for our families to get away from our busy schedules and deadlines, and rest and reconnect with one another and with God! This year, we had 12 families head out to Riverbend Retreat Center and had a wonderful, relaxing and memorable time together over the Labor Day Weekend.
Each October we hold our fall festival, First Fest. First Fest has a street festival feel, complete with over 20 inflatables, food vendors, trunk-r-treating, stilt walkers, and jugglers. First Fest also includes a live band and entertainment at the Levitt Pavilion on the north side of our campus. Last year, 2011, we had well over 5000 folks from our church and community here enjoying fellowship and fun together. First Fest is definitely a highlight of the year for families!
