International Friends
For more than 40 years International Friends has been building some of the strongest and most unique relationships by teaching English as a second language (ESL). First Baptist Arlington has a great group of volunteers that help impact our community with their love for internationals. Read below for details that include the upcoming events, schedule, leadership and ways you can participate.
Each week men and women from around the world come to learn English and make friends. Craft and cooking classes are conducted during the first hour. After snacks and announcements, students are involved in English classes.
Some of the special events during the year include the Welcome Party, brunches in teachers’ homes, Fall Family Dinner, Christmas brunch, Everybody’s Birthday Party, and the Spring Festival!
