New Opportunities for 2015

Now is the time to begin praying about being involved with a volunteer mission opportunity in 2015!!  You can find out about these projects at  If you are interested in any of these trips, please contact Jerimiah Smith or go ahead and register now to sign up.

By Your Side

Become a person of influence by befriending an international attending UTA.  With over 90 countries represented at UTA we want to be a voice to the nations that have come to live among us.  The By Your Side program works through the UTA international affairs office to get partnered with internationals who would like to find a community friend while they are here.  If you are interested in knowing more than register here or email Jerimiah Smith for more details.

English as a Second Language

For more than 40 years our church has provided English classes for internationals who speak English as a second language.  Our traditional “International Friends” class meets on Wednesday mornings from 8:45 – 11:00.  We are excited to say that we will start our second year offering a second ESL class on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM.  If you are interested in participating as a student or volunteering as a leader then you can find out more by registering here or email Jerimiah Smith for more details.

Extended Volunteer Efforts

We are currently working on developing a few open positions for extended volunteer efforts in some of our key areas around the world.  This is an opportunity for those interested in serving a few months to as long as a semester with our sent workers currently living overseas.  This will likely include opportunities in Sierra Leone, Japan and Costa Rica to name a few.  If you are looking for something to do for six weeks, a summer of a semester in 2015 and feel led this might be an option then email
Jerimiah Smith for more details.  Keep checking back for the details when the opportunities are released.

Being Sent

We are a sending church.  FBCA is committed to sending its own Cross-Cultural workers anywhere in the world.  We are prepared to equip, send and support those that feel called to live overseas. This is a thorough process but one we believe is fundamental to kingdom work.    Our church’s core regions of focus are West Africa, East Asia, and South Asia.  Read more about how you could pursue such                                                     a calling and our core regions of focus by visiting
